“Old-timers say the Acme Hotel was the oldest tavern on LBI. That's quite a moniker.”
Betty and Bird Clutter bought it in the late 1950s. Bird remembers a secret trap door where booze had covertly been loaded in during Prohibition. Society was changing — and Bird and Betty's became the spot for an animated crowd who loved live music until last call.
Bird & Betty's is our reimagined version of those days. The throwback Beach Haven night spot with fresh fare, creative cocktails, great music, and a nite club that keeps that spirit alive.
